Altha Progress: 10/27/2021

Adding in some basic sculpts and the world machine terrain. Switched up the composition a bit as well to start getting the flow of the image. I did some placement of the buildings in the city but I may introduce houdini or find a plug in to generate my meshes into a city.


World Machine Sculpt

I was able to get in the world machine sculpt for the mountain back drop. I am going to export out my terrains and sculpt them out to get a better control of the landscape. After importing my sky sphere I learned ue4 had a sky atmosphere  blueprint that i could drag into the level and simulate realistic gradients. I applied it to my skybox and added clouds with a bump offset.

After applying the skybox I noticed a few issues with my composition. It was losing focus and the flow was everywhere. The light pollution I intended on having was a bit much so I toned it down and repositioned my composition. So with some well needed feedback, I changed the angle a bit and adjusted some lighting.


Current
Using my rubble kit, I a populating a small space to test scale and silhouettes. The center rock rick needs another pass as well as the large mountain rock kit.
